The more ownership and investment from students and teachers, the better a flipped class will run.<\/p>\n

Two days in the life of a flipped classroom might run something like this:<\/h3>\n

Day 1 (Self-paced study time)<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. Students watch assigned “homework” videos<\/li>\n
  2. Students complete questions online and receive immediate feedback<\/li>\n
  3. Students note any questions they have and come to their scheduled class<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Day 2 (In class)<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. Teachers spend a few minutes answering questions and clarifying misconceptions<\/li>\n
    2. Students work on an activity, a worksheet of questions, a lab-based experiment, or an open inquiry question in small groups<\/li>\n
    3. Teacher interacts with the small groups and provides specific as-needed guidance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Worksheets<\/h3>\n

Generally, they start with direct questions and gradually ramp up in difficulty.\u00a0 The later, more complex questions are written to develop critical thinking, apply skills in different contexts, and combine knowledge from multiple areas.<\/p>\n
