{"id":90,"date":"2018-11-07T02:33:39","date_gmt":"2018-11-07T02:33:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/meristem.anu.edu.au\/?page_id=90"},"modified":"2025-05-08T17:39:38","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T07:39:38","slug":"for-volunteers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/meristem.weblogs.anu.edu.au\/index.php\/new-to-meristem\/for-volunteers\/","title":{"rendered":"Volunteer contributors"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>There are many ways to get involved<\/h3>\n<p>meriSTEM is volunteer-powered.\u00a0 Volunteers use their subject knowledge, educational experience and passion to create quality resources for teachers to use in their classes.\u00a0 Volunteers can get involved:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Producing educational videos<\/li>\n<li>Editing automatic YouTube video transcripts<\/li>\n<li>Writing inter-video questions and feedback<\/li>\n<li>Writing worksheets and worksheet solutions<\/li>\n<li>Developing experiments and experiment guides<\/li>\n<li>Creating open-ended, ill-defined, real-world questions as a classroom activity<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the materials created<\/li>\n<li>Sharing implementation strategies and tips<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>meriSTEM facilitates numerous training sessions throughout the year to assist volunteers to maximise their impact.
